6/17-6/23
I was back up two pounds on Monday. I’m not exactly sure
why, because even though I really struggle on the weekends to eat enough I
thought I did ok this week. Apparently not, though. I might have to start setting
an alarm to remind myself to eat on the weekends. I guess I thought I would be
used to it by now but I just get busy and don’t realize it’s time to eat
because I don’t feel hungry. By Friday I had dropped that 2 lbs again, and was
back at my same pre-half marathon weight.
It’s been a busy week, too so getting in my exercise has
been impossible. I planned to bike to work on Wednesday and Thursday, but that
didn’t happen. I planned to go to kettlebell at least on Thursday, but that
didn’t happen. All I did was my 4 mile leg of the Slacker Half MarathonRelay, we did as a family on Saturday. Fortunately, I felt really good out
there. I’m just glad that Caleb and Lily have been biking to the pool with
their babysitter, Kyndall has been doing Kettlebell, Tylor has been doing
baseball, plus they have been biking back and forth between their mom’s house
and our house, so all 5 participants have still been getting some exercise in
preparation for the race.
My eating was good all week, but the weekend went badly
because Jerry had the kids pack the coolers for camping. I had a partial list
written down for what I was packing, but it was only what came to mind as I was
getting ready for work Friday morning. The list didn’t include anything special
I was planning to pack for me, and was missing some key items. We ate out after
the race, but that was planned. Then we ate out again for breakfast on our way
home, but that wasn’t planned. I was a little worried that my weight was going
to go up, but fortunately it stayed the same.
