6/10-6/16
Last week eating enough calories was really hard after I got
back from my half marathon/mini vacation. Really watching my sodium intake was
enough to lose the 2 lbs last week, but I had to be really diligent this week
to make sure I was getting enough calories to be able to lose again this week.
I figured out that I probably didn’t eat enough calories during my San Diego
weekend, and what I did eat was too high in sodium. The combination is likely
why I gained 4 lbs. I’m pretty sure the first two I lost was water weight
associated with the sodium intake. The other 2 is likely from my body holding
on to everything like it did before when I wasn’t eating enough calories. I
just need to learn how to manage that better while I’m on vacation. I’m happy to say that I’m back to the same
weight I was on Thursday before I left for San Diego. Now I hope that I can
continue this weight loss trend.
Since I got my new bike last weekend, I committed to riding
to and from work at least twice a week. I would have committed to more, but I
was worried that life would get in the way if I tried for too much. Two days a
week might be hard enough some weeks anyway and I figured twice was good enough
since it’s not my only exercise and I can always bike more when our schedule
allows for it.
I got in a nice variety of workouts this week, which was new
to me. Lately, it seems to be kettlebell or running; only sometimes would I
actually get in both. Monday I biked to and from work; Thursday I went to
Kettlebell with Kyndall; Friday I biked to and from work again; Saturday we did
Kettlebell again; We did The Color Run 5k Sunday.
3.1 Miles Run, 18 Miles Biked; 2 lbs lost
