July 23 - 29
So I'm totally slacking on my running, still. I didn't run all week, again, and I have no real excuse. I wasn't sore from the bike riding last weekend, and I only worked 3 days. I was busy helping Jerry in the basement Thursday so we could get our electrical inspection, but Friday all we did was hang out and wait for the inspector to come so I totally could have done a short run... I'm still at 7 minutes, after all. Saturday we played in Denver at the museum all day with the kids, but we didn't do much today either. I did decide that I'm going to stop signing up for races until I've kept up with my training though. Two reasons - 1. I told the kids if they aren't going to take their training seriously, I wasn't paying for their races, so I thought I should lead by example there; and 2. If I'm not training for the races, and they aren't going as well as I want them to, I need to train so they go better. Why race if I haven't trained? Anyway, maybe this will be the kick in the pants I need. I do need to train because I already signed up for a 5 mile race before I decided to stop signing up, so I have one goal for now and if I want to sign up for more, I need to train more.
