7/8-7/14
This was the last week before I start my new ½ marathon training for my next race. Since I survived my first one I have decided I would try another one, and picked the Equinox Half Marathon & 5 miler in September. I really liked the 5 mile course last year so I’m looking forward to the Half Marathon course. Nate decided he’d like to sign up and give it a shot, too. Fortunately, this course looks like a good choice for his first and my second – it’s a gradual downhill! Training starts Monday.

My exercise was pretty light this week, although I did have good intentions. I always do, though, don’t I? I was signed up for Kettlebell on Tuesday, but couldn’t go because as soon as I got home from work, I had to turn around and take Lily to urgent care for stitches. She split her knee open just before I got there. I was busy Wednesday, and I wanted to go to Tylor’s last baseball game on Thursday so I still didn’t go to kettlebell. I did ride my bike to work on Friday, although I was originally planning to also ride on Wednesday but couldn’t. Jerry had an early meeting Wednesday morning and our babysitter doesn’t come early enough for me to still ride. If he’s not able to be home until she gets shows up, I drive.
