2/11-2/17
Monday morning, I weighed
myself again. I’m down a total of 5 lbs from Monday 2 weeks ago when I first
started this plan. I am so happy to see these results, and I feel a little
guilty that I’m still skeptical. I just keep expecting to step on the scale and
see it back to where I started. Fortunately,
I have kept a close watch on my weight and how it fluctuates during my cycle,
so although I fear the weight loss stopping, I do have some peace of mind
during my cycle and was not surprised to see my typical fluctuation this week. According to my logging, it should be back to
normal in a few days, and hopefully will continue to drop again after that. At
least I still feel good about continuing.
I went back to the doctor
this week to run another test to check my BMI, Hydration, and calories. I’m
still burning over 1900 calories, at rest, which is good for me. I don’t know
what kind of results I’d be having if I had a slow metabolism. My BMI is down
from my last visit, which is obviously a good thing to since that shows that we
really are making progress. And my muscle responsiveness and hydration level
are right on target.
Saturday was the LovelandSweetheart Classic 4 mile race. I haven’t been doing much running, but it went
pretty well anyway. I hit my time goal, and I wasn’t sore after the race – I
think Kettlebell is making a big difference in my running and recover, and I
think the compression pants may have been helpful too.
After the sweetheart race, I
went to the Stubborn Fat Loss Clinic that I signed up for through Kettlebell. The class was good. Very entertaining, but
also the information was helpful. A lot
of it was the same type of information I got from the nutritionist at Max
Muscle and from my doctor during my follow up visit, so it was nice to have
some additional confirmation that what I’m doing currently is right. His focus
was on getting the right amount of calories, consumed in quality foods and
working out using interval techniques.
