My Journey - Week 24

Nov. 14th - 20th
Back in town, back on a normal work schedule, and back to a normal workout routine – almost. I thought taking a week off from exercising was going to make it really hard to get back into it this week, but I was wrong. By Tuesday, I was really looking forward to my training session with Wanda, and I loved it (even though she totally kicked my butt!). After my session, I felt like I let myself down a bit during my run. I wasn’t able to finish it. Actually, I didn’t even make it a mile before I had to walk. My ankles were killing me. Jerry thinks I pulled the tendons. I rested Wednesday, and then let Wanda kick my butt again on Thursday, which felt great. I didn’t run Thursday because working out made my ankles feel a little sore again, but also because I tweaked my knee. Sigh…  Wanda did agree that I did something in my workout on Tuesday to aggravate the tendons in my ankle and that stretches and rest were good ideas. Saturday was a day to forget, and although it was quite the workout, we obviously did not do any running. Sunday, we had to recover, mentally if nothing else, so that was the end of my week. Not a bad week, but could have been better.
