12/31-1/6
After spending most of the
last week and this week in bed, in Iowa, with the flu, I obviously didn’t do
much running. We were originally planning to do the Resolution Run 5k on New
Year’s Eve, but that was before we spent that whole day in the car driving home
from Iowa. Fortunately we didn’t pre-register, so we weren’t out those
registration fees. We did, however, drag
our butts out of bed New Year’s morning, for the {New Year’s Day 5k}. Home from Iowa, and finally feeling a little better, Jerry, Caleb, Lily,
My Mom and I ran the New Years Day 5k. I forgot my garmin, but it was
nothing impressive anyway - especially after the flu and not eating much
for a week.
While it’s not the way I
would have liked it to happen, I do have a weight loss update. While sick with
the flu, I ended up losing 4 pounds. Hopefully it’s not all water weight and I
can keep it off. It’s the first weight loss I’ve seen in about a year.
At the request of the
Kettlebell instructor, I’ve started logging my food. I’m using an app called My
Fitness Pal. Hopefully I can stay in the habit. He wants me to have a log to
show when they hold another stubborn fat loss clinic, which is something they
do a couple times a year.
