Sept. 26th - Oct. 2
This week has seemed never ending. Crazy busy at work, Jerry’s had meetings all week, a tire repair, soccer, workouts, running, community service. It’s Sunday and I’m ready to pass out! And, it’s October. Don’t even get me started on how that could have possibly happened! But, I did manage to get in two workouts with Wanda, as tempting as it was to cancel. But if I had canceled, I would have probably just sat around doing nothing, and that’s no good either. So, busy as I was, I kept my appointments, and am truly glad I did. Tuesday was a pain in the butt – literally! My glutes were screaming after we finished. Then, it was Day 3 of Week 3 in our Couch to 5k program so I loaded up the kids and sister after dinner and we did our running. Wednesday, I did it again. Thursday was Day 5 of Week 3 and a 7 minute run! Friday I worked out with Wanda again, and she totally kicked my butt. Saturday was Project One, a community service project with our church where we did yard work all day, so that was my work out. And today is Day 1 of Week 4 with another 7 minute run... I'm still sore from yesterday, but I will get my run in today - promise! I can’t believe how far I’ve already gotten with this program. I was skeptical, but it’s really working. A month ago, I never would have believed that I’d be able to run for 7 minutes straight, and now I’m doing it! Now if only I could get that stubborn scale to budge a little. Sigh… someday.
