I finally did something this week! Since I’ve been lacking motivation, I sent out a plea to my runner friends asking them to join me for weekly running. I had some positive response, so we set up a time and location for Saturday morning. Of course, I haven’t run in weeks – not since the Loveland Sweetheart Classic, and that didn’t go all that well; so I decided I had better do something before Saturday, or I was going to have a bad run. I ran a mile on Thursday, and that went ok. Not my best time, for sure, but I made it through and was glad I did it by the time I finished. Saturday didn’t go so well. I cramped up in my ankles again. I’m still not sure what’s causing it, but I’m voting lack of strength in those muscles. I ended up run/walking just less than 3 miles of the 4 mile route we had planned out, so at least I got some exercise. Now to figure out the cause of the cramping and get past it.
